Learning Expectation
Before reading this chapter since it has the title “Ebay”, I am expecting to learn what is it about ebay that brings people together, I know transactions are made in this website but there must be something else that has brought people together, engaged in going to this site, I am expecting to learn who started ebay, how do the site earn money from just providing an area for people to have transactions, from just providing an area for business.

What I learned from reading chapter one is that there is a site that provides for people to have interaction, transactions, ebay has brought the buyer and seller together, they had provided a relationship for people, also n this chapter I have learned how ebay has made money, I have learned that for every transaction made they make money also, it does not matter to what kind of transaction it is as long as there is a transaction made, ebay gets money, ebay earns money to, in his chapter they also talked about on how people are more attracted to site where it is more interactive, they are like kids viewing colorful web pages, graphical designs, and with animations.
What I Learned
What I have learned from reading this chapter is how ebay had made money from just simply allocating, or providing an area for people making transactions, there are always room for something to be sold, and there will be always someone, at least one who will be willing to purchase that item.

I chose this quote from this chapter because I believe in what it says, in what it means, the web, the internet is powerful it can do anything, and I believe that it is already hard for this technology to fall or to die, it has been a while since it has existed, and it will continue to grow, and I believe that it will continue surprising people in what it will do in the future, in the next 20 to 30 years the internet will continue to expand to a technology that we never thought it will be, this is my own opinion so anyone can disagree but for me the internet will continue be a “playground”, a “library”, basically everything we expect it to be.

This is typical with technology and innovation. “Innovation of technology always encounters problems, this is how it really is, there are always something on the way that might hold back the technology. “The Semantic Web is a way to figure out how to structure this whole set of data on the Web so that you can navigate through it much better”.
“Web 2.0 is one of the great technology phases that was mostly consumer- led. We’ve seen a lot more benefit to consumers in this phase and a lot more lagging response of passing these benefits on to enterprises.” Web 2.0 is a technology phase where everything just begins to be easier for people.
What I Learned
I learned that innovation does not always go as planned there are always obstacles, trying to prevent it from happening.

And that’s a good thing. You want to have some successes and some failures, at the right cost point.” Business has come up with new innovations to help their business become more productive and be closer to the consumers, the market, and the customers.
What I Learned
I learned the business is using the web 2.0 to be closer to the markets, for them to be productive, for them to get to know their customers more.

Enterprises, businesses would want to take advantage of the aspects of web 2.0 but the irony is they do not want to use the models of web2.0, they do not want to be forced in using the web 2.0, they do not want to be forced in doing they are not comfortable in doing, they are all taking advantage on things that they want to be. They want to show the power of the web 2.0 but yet they do not want to be seen using the influence of the web 2.0

I am expecting to learn what is the influence of the web 2.0 to the businesses, what is the purpose of the web 2.0 to the companies, if the web 2.0 has the real purpose in the industries.

The book discusses that all the protocols, the standards, the ethics of the real use of the web 2.0 is present “It is obvious that business models are changing.” Business models are obviously changing their models. “The need for developers to be cognizant of the business model under which their application is going to be distributed is greater than ever.”
What I Learned
I learned that the web 2.0 has been helpful to the industries with the different purposes it gave the people; they have given the industries more help
